SENTHIL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION was established by Senthil Educational Trust in 2005. This College was started with the noble aim of imparting Quality Teacher Education to the rural students who are socially and economically backward in this district. This is the first B.Ed., College started in Vriddhachalam of Cuddalore District.
It is the benevolent management of "Senthil Educational Trust" which takes utmost care in generating Value based Quality Teachers to the society under the dynamic leadership of Er.S. DIVIYA, Correspondent cum Managing Trustee of the Trust. This College is located in a conducive atmosphere near Vriddhachalam at Periyavadavadi, Cuddalore District, on the highway of Vriddhachalam to Ulundurpet.
The Senthil College of Education is a unitary, teaching, and residential College and it is managed by Er.S.Diviya, Correspondent cum Managing Trustee of the Senthil Educational Trust, Mrs. R. Kavitha Thangaraju Coordinator cum Trustee of the Trust, Er.V. Prathib Secretary cum Trustee of the Trust, and Mr.D.Thangaraju Trustee of the Trust of the institution.
During the last 17 years the College has grown up rapidly and has consolidated its position as a unitary and residential College with B.Ed and M.Ed,. The campus includes Teacher Training Institute, Medical Science, Matriculation Higher Secondary School, hostels, and playgrounds are spread an area of about 75 acres. Approved by NCTE and Affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. The College also got the " B " Grade from NAAC . To feel proud the College secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Rank in Cuddalore District for the past 17 years.
The College also takes interest in developing the students to get placement opportunities by conducting special coaching classes for TRB, TNPSC and TNTET. These coaching classes started from 2nd January 2015. Not only the present students but also the Alumni benefitted from these classes.
The Correspondent, Management, Principal and Staffs are of the Pillars of the growth and development of the college. We wish that a strong foundation will help the growing buds to develop their all-round personality. This inspiration paved the way for the birth of this College of Education.
Senthil College of Education gives all the possible coaching and improves Micro and Macro teaching skills. It conducts Training Camp, Teaching practice, Best Practices, Cultural & Sports activities, NSS, YRC, RRC, Swath Bharath, Educational Tour and Field Trip.
The students of our institution are imparted not only Education but also training to develop various skills. For this noble cause seminars, Conference and workshops are conducted by inviting Resource persons. The college has dedicated team of teachers and well maintained library, Educational Technology lab, communication lab, computer lab and psychology lab for the upliftement of the students. Transport facility is provided from in and around Vriddhachalam. Separate Hostel facility is provided to both Men and Women teacher trainers. Nutritious and hygienic food is provided. The prime mission of the Institution is to promote the features of Education, Discipline, Service mind, Patriotism and Social commitment and to create teachers for the future society.
